Back to the familiar this morning — drawing with the light on, my Louise mug, and my Moomin tray.
I woke very early and needed everything to feel steady, so I reached for the things I know: tea in bed, sketchbook, Blackwing stub.

I enjoyed making this morning’s tea-tray drawing. Yesterday I drew it in the dark (not a drawing I felt able to share!), but I wanted to experiment again today.

I feel like I’m getting to know the new things on my tray. And I was very pleased to find that the new insulated mug meant my tea was still hot
